I need good security programs that are free, any help?

Hi there, I have just recoverd my computer (it is my old computer’s, around 3 1/2 years old) and i recentlly have been mad at norton 360 i purchased now i give up on buying protection because i see there are TONS of protection for free. I also use Mozzila Firefox.
Lastelly, this is a desktop computer.

Well the best firewall is COMODO, but it’s complicated to use. If you take the time to learn it however, nothing on the internet or a hacker will get to you. It’s a pain to use at times so that’s up to you.
As for virus protection, I swear by Spybot Search and Destroy (Especially their teatime registry protection)
Again both programs are free and can be found at downloads.com. They are kind of complicated to use but if you learn how to use them, they are invaluable tools.
