Overall I am very pleased with how it works. The night vision is really nice, and the only complaints about it so far is the interface is a little confusing. The install was pretty simple all you had to do was mount the camera and run the 60ft cords back to one spot. I have it recording 24/7 so I do not know how well the motion sensing works. I live in Florida, and we get thunderstorms all the time. When a surge would go through I would loose 1 of the 4 cameras, but it would come back up if I unplugged it and plugged it back. I had it on a basic walmart surge protector, and I simply went out and bought a $40 UPS(battery backup) for it. Now I don't have any problems with it.

| Cameras are ok, the DVR only records at half D1 quality 640x224. I need better picture therefore i'm buying a DVR that records at D1 which is 720x480 Q-See QSDR04RTC-320 4 Channel H.264 Real-Time Security DVR DVR is easy to use. Remote control works half of the time. Good value DVR with a 250 GB hard drive and 4 cameras. Hard drive holds about 2 weeks at the highest quality. Make sure you format your USB drive to a FAT32 file system. |

I was looking for a decent security system and I thought I found it with this product with 30 feet of night vision. when I hooked it up day time was ok but still had to make out faces when even 10 feet away night time forget about it can't see much of any thing.Within 2 weeks of recording the one camera I had set up started becoming very grainy at night and was imposable to see anything,so I change out the camera and it went back to normal which was still poor. couple of days later and the system started rebooting out of the blue and finaly the system could not detect the hard drive.which went bad in 3 weeks, not happy at all. Since the packaging has been thrown out ill get charged a restocking fee for a defectice product doesn't make since to me.
My recomendation to others spend a little more money on a seperate dvr and buy the better cameras maybe from a store where it will be easyer to return if you are not happy |
Piece of junk

| Channel 1 of the DVR was broken out of box and one of the cameras wouldn't work. I waited for 47 minutes on the phone to speak with tech support. They wouldn't replace the broken units and made ME pay for the shipping to return the unit for repairs. Oh, and the installation instructions are awful. |
